It has been a very long three weeks. Each one of us, and many of us at the same time, have spent the greater part of the last three weeks sick. It has not been fun or inspiring. And, I tend to agree with Brian, I feel it was an attack from the enemy. God was good and gracious to see us through and I am hoping, desperately, to have a semi-normal day ahead of me today. Jadon still suffers with a nagging and somewhat painful cough and it is not surprising to find him running a fever in the afternoon. Compared to what he has come from though, I believe he is on the mend. I learned a lot through this time, which is almost always the point of a trial, right? Most of the lessons were in patience as I tend to run a bit weak in that area. Some were in trust, another area I am weak in. And, finally, some were in areas that I really can't put into words, I just know I learned something very important that I can draw on, when and if, something similar happens again. My relationship with the Lord is just stronger; like when you go through something challenging with a dear friend and then you and said friend only need give each other a look and you know what the other is thinking. It is something like that. As with most any other trial in life, I look back on it thankful to have gone through it.
Later in the day...
Another plus is, I have had an incredible amount of time to work on my projects. I have finished two blankets in the time I have been and my family has been sick, one baby blanket and one large afghan. I am happily reaching my goal of a project a month and could, at this point, take all of March off and still be on schedule. Of course, I won't. I am going to start another project in just a few minutes since school and my housework is done.
