A beautiful afternoon and a confession
I spent the afternoon in the park today. Jadon and I went to the library and then went to the park, sat on the bench, and read together. He, of course, also played on the toys. I just sat in awe of how perfect everything felt; warm sunshine, cool breeze, children laughing and playing, and moms visiting. The sky was stunningly blue, not a cloud in it. It was peaceful, serene, and cozy. I am reading a fantastic book by Robin Pilcher (yes, he is Rosamunde's son and as brilliant as his mother) So, essentially I spent the afternoon in the Scottish countryside too. My confession: I am going to be a bit more selfish (in a good way) Thanks to my awesome cousin Patri, I decided just recently that I need to embrace my love of reading and escape a little more often into a delicious book. So, thank you Patri. Thank you for reminding me how nice it is to blow an afternoon reading in the park. Life sometimes gets going so fast you forget about simple pleasures. Anyhow, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with all things loved and beautiful. What could be better?
