I want to remeber this day

Today we went to a production of the Opera The Magic Flute by Mozart. It was put on by ISU students majoring in music (of course). Anyhow, it was absolutely fabulous. They did a wonderful job. It was funny and moving. Great cast and voices as smooth as honey. I throughly enjoyed myself. I especially loved the little enchanted woodland bear. He was perfect for the role. Chubby with beautifully, rosy, red cheeks. He stole my heart the minute he walked on the stage. Now....I'll let you all in on a little secret, I'm a completely biased judge and critic. The reason being the sweet little bear was my own son. Quite a surprise to all of us. When we arrived we were pulled to the side and asked if Jadon would like to help by playing the part of an "enchanted woodland creature". Of course my little starlet jumped at the chance, then realized that it meant he would be in front of EVERYONE. That's when the fear set in. After much reassurance from his Daddy and me; he took his cue with all the bravery he could muster and took the stage. He was adorable and followed the Prince perfectly. He was supposed to mimic anything the Prince did. Sometimes my little Darlin' can be a bit of a space cadet. He comes by it naturally, from his Mama. Today,I saw a mark of maturity in his life. He stepped up to the plate and swung with all his might, and was rewarded with a homerun, so to speak. It was a truly enchanted day, one I will not soon forget. I thank the Lord so much for my little family and all the fun and adventure He blesses us with. What a charmed life I live.
